The firm originated in 1991, when the attorneys began a deportation defense project at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, KY. They incorporated Immigration Support Services, Inc., a non-profit corporation to assist immigrants and train lawyers in immigration procedures. This project was given a national award from the Federal Bar Association in 1992.
The firm soon became involved in other areas of immigration law, serving the light manufacturing, biomedical, equine, and restaurant industries.
